Zonda info for lots

This morning Bryan Glasshagel covered quite a bit about Austin housing, including this nugget:

We’re seeing early stage lot development drop significantly. Meaning land developers have slowed down projects which can take a year+ (or YEARS) to get going.

And don’t forget - home starts in Austin have been WAY down the past two quarters. Zonda’s housing data tells me detailed pending new home contract sales data AND absorption rates for both homes and lots.

Use this to predict when we’ll be facing a lot shortage again. It might a good time to start working on future new home subdivisions, FYI. By the time you get ready-to-build-on lots on the ground, the environment will look very different here.

You should be using Zonda to predict this for any part of any major US market.
